 note = {The development of the polarized ion sourse at the University of Tsukuba  The polarized ion sourse has become an important instrument in exprimental nuclear physics. There are two types of polarized ion sourse, the atomic beam sourse and the Lamb-shift sourse. We have constructed a Lamb-shift polarized ion sourse with a spin filter. This sourse is an effective instrument for producing polarized negative hydrogen and deuterium ion beam. The spin-filter polarization scheme is capable of producing larger vector and tensor polarized deuterium beams than those obtained by other types of polarized ion sourse.
