This course was held in Chiang Mai and Payao in northern Thailand in September 2017. The students and the teacher stayed at the artist in residence in Chiang Mai, conducted a workshop at a nursery school and cultural facilities research, and conducted art projects in collaboration with students of the University of Payao. First of all, the history of the course is described. In 2014, Hosei University was adopted as a Super global University Creation Support Project of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and the College of International Culture of the university decided to implement three courses to realise these objectives. Second, regarding the results of the implementation of this subject, the relationship between the author's past art projects and the subject is explained, and the two-way cultural understanding and communication through fieldwork and co-production considering the method to learn are facilitated. In addition, the collaborators were invited to Japan in January 2018. We delivered a report on the program and conducted a panel discussion on contemporary art education at the university.
