But in Japan, their recognition is low and there are only few practices as in Nara, Hiroshima, etc. where there are famous world cultural heritages, and the education has not been done in most of the places where there is no such heritage. However, WHE should be carried out in every place whether or not the place has world cultural heritage, because the essential objective of this education is 'to build a fortress of peace in the peoples' hearts' but not just to protect world heritage. The author made field research and interviews to the school teachers and staffs of educational section at Uki city, Kumamoto where they practice "traditional culture study" of local heritages. In this paper, he introduces some cases of their practices and discusses their effectiveness to WHE. As a result, she made it clear that their "traditional culture study" is very useful not only for the children but also for the local people to realize their own heritages and the study functioned quite well to the original objective of the WHE even though there is no world cultural heritage in the area.}, pages = {22--47}, title = {<原著論文>地域文化遺産に基づいた『世界遺産教育』の有効性 : 熊本県宇城市における『伝統文化学習』の事例研究}, volume = {5}, year = {2018} }
