This paper analyzed the space formation of caves which assumed constructed in the Northern Zhou dynasty (556-581) at Mogao Grottoes by comparing each element which constitute cave space, especially focusing on the wall painting motifs which possesses directions such as patterned Thousand Buddha, frieze-style Narratives, flying Apsaras, lined Worshippers.
