Specifically, in section 2, the overview of 5 methods (Linear Programming, Goal Programming, Dynamic Programming, Nonlinear Programming, and Stochastic Programming) and 5 principle free software of Mathematical Programming (CLP, XLP, BFM, Z-BFM, FAPS) were provided. In section 3, the trend of researches, since 1970, on Mathematical Programming methods in farm management field were clarified from various points of view such as “study area” “study contents” “analysis method” “analysis software”. Moreover, survey of research articles’ main results, relating to new crops, cultivation technologies and machines introduction effect and farm planning, were conducted. According to the results, first, researches on upland field farming were few compared to paddy field farming. Second, the main users of Mathematical Programming in both paddy and upland field farming are national and reginal research organization. Nevertheless, the uses of university and extension organization were extremely few.
