This paper proposes an automatic method which accommodates this process. As a case study, a cluster analysis was applied to nouns followed by the accusative case of \"kiru\" (to cut). Semantic categories in Bunruigoihyo were used as variables. Validity as clusters was examined by an approximately unbiased test (AU), (Suzuki and Shimodaira 2011). AU scores, or the possibility of the existence of true clusters, enabled an examination of the significant clusters and semantic categories of the polysemy. It also detected semantic categories which have not been included in previous studies.
