| 内容記述 | Although all people will experience inheritance from their parents at some point in their lives, research on how family relationships are transformed by it is still in its infancy. This study examined how the family perceptions and relationships of children are transformed through inheritance from their fathers. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 18 children who had experienced inheritance from their fathers; these interviews were analyzed using the modified grounded theory approach, which generated 56 concepts, 10 subcategories, and 12 categories. Results confirmed that even when conflicts arose within the family, children gained a better understanding of their fathers while seeking a fair inheritance and they then took steps to rebuild their relationships with their mothers and siblings. These findings indicate that 1) inheritance considerations need to have the father at the center of the issue and they need to involve the whole family, 2) parents need to treat siblings equally, and 3) trust and estate practitioners need to provide psychological support to the family. | |||||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | 本研究では，父の相続を通して子がどのように家族に対する認知と家族関係を変容させるのかを検討した。父の相続を経験した子18名を対象に半構造化面接を行い，修正版グラウンデッド・セオリー・アプローチを用いて分析した結果，56の概念，10のサブカテゴリー，12のカテゴリーが生成された。子は，家族に対する葛藤が生じたとしても，公明正大な相続に努めながら父への理解を深め，母ときょうだいとの関係再構築に踏み出すことが確認された。以上により，1）相続の検討は父を問題の中心に据え家族全員で行うこと，2）親によるきょうだい平等への配慮，3）相続の実務家による家族への心理的支援，の必要性が示された。 | |||||||||||||||
